TED talk
I was having a hard time trying to think of a topic to watch a TED talk on, but when i saw Nathalie Miebach's Art made of Storms i was extremely impressed.
Her primary purpose was to express the fact that art can be found in almost any thing. Her execution of this argument was well thought through by the use of her own work. By playing a piece of music created by one of the storms she researched, she created ethos with the audience. She added to the ethos by theh display of one of her actual pieces next to her through her speech. By explaining her process for creating these sculptures and musical pieces, she aids the audience in understanding more of what she creates by creating slight logos and increasing the ethos. To hold the audiences' interest, she places pictures along with pieces of her work throughout the speech (pictures, music, and musical pieces). The pictures of her gathering information show the audience how hard working she is which helps the audience to relate to her (most Americans work hard at their jobs). In the end she truly catches the audience with the intrigue that is placed in her work.

This would be a good medium to present sound and visual...interesting that she used it to support ethos. My speaker did the same about her blog. Dude, where is your antithesis?
ReplyDeleteI meant to add it last night because i had forgotten originally, but I had work. So, that's what i added today... my bad.
